For Symbols and Footprints:
SnapEDA follows IPC-7351B standards for its footprints, and a combination of IEEE-315 and its own standards for symbols.
All models are created by our component engineering team using a mix of automated and manual processes, and verified with a three-step verification process.
For 3D models:
3D models created by SnapEDA use nominal dimensions and they do not include internal features from the part, as these details may breach manufacturer confidentiality.
The surfaces in contact with the footprint for PCB mountable parts also follow the IPC-7351B standards. Any board mountable parts are done at their largest height on the datasheet since this is the least favorable design condition provided by the manufacturer.
